Welcome to Chris' Comic Book Collection.

This site is devoted to providing detailed information about the comics in my collection. My goal is to provide as much information as possible for each of the issues, including credits, story synopsis, character appearances, cover scan images and notes of interest about each issue. In addition, I plan on including information and images for each publisher, imprint, series, creator, and character related to these comics.

I have been working on this site since 1996. Over the last 10 years, I have seen my collection grow from around 10,000 issues to over 35,000. The site has evolved from a simple HTML listing of the issues in my collection to a series of static HTML pages providing more information about each series and issue to the dynamic, database-driven site that exists today. I am the sole worker on this site doing everything from database design to data entry.

I'm always looking for people to help out with the site. If you are interested in writing summaries for issues that appear on the site, sending in cover scans (I use 231x~345 pixel images), writing useful and/or informative essays, checking the site of inaccuracies, research information for the creators section of the site, or whatever I'd love to have you on board. I can't pay money for this but I can give credit on the sites, trade links and offer small payment in the form of duplicate issues which I'm trying to get rid of. If you're interested, email me and let me know.

If you have a website that you want to affiliate with mine to help improve traffic to both our sites, let me know. I'm open open to any site that meets my criteria:
  1. NO pornographic or overly vulgar site
    My site is intended for people of all ages.
  2. NO free websites (GeoCities, Xoom, Anglefire, Etc.)
    They are too unreailable and and I don't have the time to constantly check to make sure the sites haven't disappeared.
  3. NO links sites
    Your site must have some useful content on it.
  4. NO FrontPage sites
    As someone who still uses a text editor to do all the HTML work on my site, I have always despised FrontPage and the amateurity that it brings ot the Web. If have no problem with someone who knows HTML using a WYSISYG editor to speed their work, but they are no substitute for learning HTML.
